We wanted to name this cute washcloth after Jack the penguin—whom we came to know thanks to Ladislas Kadyszewski—a great photographer and a friend. Jack, the little jackass penguin became renowned after appearing in a famous cliché, distributed worldwide to raise awareness about this poor endangered species.
Tiny penguins and zebras: a creation by Bleu Tango!
The mini-JACK washcloth boasts a combination of two great fabrics. Its front face is made from cotton and features pink, cute-as-can-be fabric, with tiny penguins and zebras, as created by Lou, founder and designer for Bleu Tango. The washcloth is lined with organic bamboo terry, which makes it perfect to lightly humidify and wipe sticky cheeks and hands. We are delighted to collaborate with Bleu Tango for this limited-edition mini-TSHU—it’s our way of joining forces to offer you unique prints in an eco-friendly manner. Indeed, thanks to this partnership, we can save small pieces of fabric leftover from previous collections and turn them into lovely hankies or washcloths. Check out our other great collab: the Douglas handkerchief & matching washcloth!
How’s it made?
Well, first and foremost, our cute washcloth is made with quality materials, selected to last. And since this lovely mini-TSHU is made for your little ones, we took care of lining it with organic bamboo terry—undyed and unbleached. You can also rest assured: all our products are hand sown with care, in ethical conditions. The real deal: we chat and visit our seamstresses regularly and we pay them fairly. Quality and ethics come with a price but, here at TSHU, it’s all about doing good and feeling good—from A to Z.
Love love LOVE mini-Jack but feel like a handkerchief might be more appropriate on a daily basis? We’ve got you covered—Jack is also available in “mama” version—same adorable pattern, lined with black organic cotton sateen. Its absorbent, soft, durable—and did we say? So adorable.
Using handkerchiefs and reusable washcloths goes a long way to help save our precious resources… In fact, not only do we generate less trash, we are telling the big companies out there that we don’t need disposable options. Yup—our actions are stronger than words! The other great thing about adopting a TSHU—any kind of TSHU—is that we commit to planting a tree for every hanky, washcloth or holder purchased. It’s our way to thank you—and to increase the positive impact of your gesture!
