Augustus’s Story
Our black and white handkerchief named Augustus pays tribute to the scientist who invented the electrocardiogram in the 18th century. Yes, the pretty pattern that adorns this timelessly coloured handkerchief reminds us of this cardiological examination that has become essential today!
The making of our Augustus handkerchief
This delicate handkerchief was carefully hand sewn in Montreal, Canada. The front is made of light, almost translucent cotton batiste with an original black and white pattern. The handkerchief is lined with unbleached certified organic white cotton sateen, which gives it a pleasant thickness, while offering good absorption. It has a black rolled finish with a hint of red.
Washing Augustus
I recommend washing the Augustus hanky in cold or warm water and air drying it. This way, it will last a long time and remain pretty, despite the use and the passing of time!
An Augustus tissue in your pocket = one more tree on the planet!
Yes, it does! For each adopted handkerchief, TSHU commits to planting a tree.
